Dietitian | Clinical Trial Coordinator
Karen joined the Aim Research team in 2026, after relocating back to her home town of Newcastle. She completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) at The University of Newcastle in 2003, then worked across Sydney and the UK, gaining skills in a wide range of clinical Dietetics, research and quality improvement programs. Her career spans NSW Health, major London teaching hospitals and community care, engaging with diverse teams and populations. Karen is passionate about evidence‑based practice, collaborative research and improving patient outcomes through compassionate care.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys travelling and discovering new places, usually in the company of her husband and three daughters (who keep her pretty busy!). She is very happy to be back on the sunny shores of Newcastle, and truly believes it to be the best place in the world.
